Caroline & Jeff - At the Beach

Caroline and Jeff were married in the Bahamas among family and close friends. They wanted to share their joy with others back in Phoenixville and decided to throw a "beach party" reception at the fabulous Columbia Station. It was suggested that guests dress casually to "party". Placecards were sand dollars arranged in trays of sand made by Caroline. In the middle, we made a palm tree with flowers at the base. We placed white "twinkle lights" in the leaves, which are not visible in the picture. What a fun start to a fantastic party.

Caroline did an amazing job adding so many beach themed details to her wedding. I loved how she decorated her envelope box and wanted to share her talent.

On each of the cocktail tables, we put a small sand bucket that we had decorated with swimming fish. Into the sand in the buckets, we placed gerber daisies, shells, and a shovel of course. Caroline and Jeff ran a slide show of their wedding in the islands during the cocktail hour.

Caroline placed shells and candles in ocean blue sand on each of the window ledges to add to the "beachy" mood of the room. What a good idea!

Caroline and Jeff sat at a "guest table". We wanted to make the "bride and groom" chairs a little bit more special, so we wove orchids into the backs of their chairs.

Centerpieces needed to bright, tropical, and fun! Half of the tables were tall glass filled with ocean blue acrylics. Sitting on top of the acrylics was a small palm tree. And from the top we arranged a mixture of tropical leaves, orchids, ginger, and Birds of Paradise. The other half of the tables were low squares filled with colorful floral foam and connected with curling ribbon. A different brightly colored flower was placed in each square. All of the "low" tables had different groupings. Each of the tables was named after a different tropical island. We had a blast creating these centerpieces and working with Caroline!
