Sandi & Ken - Snowflakes

This wedding was truly a really fun, collaborative effort between Sandi's mother, Sandi, and me. We started off with a snowflake theme and then took off. Ideas flew and Sandi's talented mom, Paula, worked really hard to craft many of the details. Unfortunately my camera's battery decided not to work and I just had enough power to take flower pictures. I wish I could have taken more photos of the many beautiful projects that made this wedding so special.

Sandi carried a beautiful bouquet of Latin Lady roses, calla lilies and greens. We inserted gorgeous snowflakes and crystals into and among the flowers. This was a perfect bouquet for our snowflake bride.

Bridesmaids carried bouquets of white alstromeria, red roses, and a personalized initial.

The ringbearer carried a "present" of mums into which "rings" are inserted.

Boutonnieres and corsages were all made with small snowflakes and "love knots".

I made two arrangements of "snowy" white branches and snowflakes for the ceremony. Sandi's mom made the lovely sprays that lined the aisle.

We used two types of arrangements for the cocktail tables. One had hydrangea with an inserted snowflake and the others were little snowflake buckets of berries,, hydrangea, and greens.

I loved this festive placecard arrangement. I used "round" flowers to complement the Christmas balls provided by Paula Wambold.

Sandi had already purchased these wonderful red vases. It was up to me to come up with ideas to fill them. We decided to do one type with snowflakes in and on the vases; one type with branches, pine cones and lots of holly; and a special centerpiece for parents' tables using dangling crystals. The tables looked so pretty with the addition of touches by Sandi's mom - handmade table numbers; little bells for jingling; and snowflake favors. Christmas joy was definitely in the air!
