May 24th was the most beautiful day for a wedding. The weather was perfect for this fabulous tented wedding at the Mercer Museum. Karen was so great to work with and we added so many personal touches to this lavender, purple, white, and green wedding. Some of our ideas included making her bouquet wrap from pieces of each of her grandmothers' wedding gowns. Fun cocktail table pieces contained Tim's favorite candy - which just happens to be purple! Karen's mom made the table runners and the sashes for the bride and groom chairs. She did a great job. And the tables had either a mass of tulips, snapdragons, hydrangea, iris, Casablanca lilies, alstromeria, or godetia in one of Karen's colors or a tablescaping combination of all flowers in all three colors. Everything looked so nice against the backdrop of the white tent. And the food smelled yummy! After setting up the wedding, Anne and I walked across the street to spend an hour at the Michener Museum. There was a great exhibit by African American craft artists and we loved the photography display of dog pictures. What a great day we had.
