Bouquets - Part I

I love to experiment with new bouquet styles. Sometimes I do it in our workshop and sometimes I do it in a class. I'm going to share some of the bouquets that I've made in the hopes that it gives someone a new idea for their bouquet.

Asian lilies, freesia, lisianthus, hypericum berries, spray roses, and fern surrounded by rosemary.

Roses, fern, pearls, and petals of Stargazer lilies.

Yellow gerber daisies and Atlantis daisies. The bouquet wrap is yellow ribbon striping white satin ribbon. I have sewn buttons that look like daisies down the wrap.

Mango calla lilies, red spray roses. eryngium, and seeded eucalyptus.

Lynn & Aaron - Gerber Goodness

Lynn loves pink and Lynn loves gerber daisies. So it was a no brainer for this wedding - we used lots of gerber daisies in pink. The only arrangements that were not gerber daisies, were Lynn's bouquet - she used Esperance roses which I've shown so often on my blog - and her placecard table arrangement. We had found a hand-painted tall bucket with pink buds all over it. Naturally, we filled it with pink roses for Lynn.

Kristen & John - Pen Ryn Romance

Lots of pink roses - Esperance, Sweet Unique, and Sweet Akito - were used in this wedding along with hydrangea, spray roses, mums, and carnations. All of these combined to make beautiful and full low and high centerpieces (a rose is floating in the base of the tall glass piece), cake topper, and sweetheart table arrangements. We loved the combination of the shades of pink along with white and pale green used in this lovely summery wedding.

Laura & Gary - Pretty in Pink....and Pool Blue

Once again we used beautiful Esperance roses, but this time mixed them with Vendela (ivory) roses, Baby's breath, and a touch of lemon leaves. We used "crystals" in each of the Esperance roses and also down the stem ribbon wrap - although it's hard to see in the picture. Bridesmaids' bouquets consisted of Vendela roses, pink spray roses, Baby's breath, and lemon leaves to finish off the bouquet. Laura wanted the ribbon wrap - we used grosgrain pool blue ribbon with a white stitch running through it - to match the girls' dresses. She also liked the idea of adding a couple of bow loops and streamers. We do too!

Amy & Kevin - Columbia Station

Columbia Station has a charming area to hold a ceremony. It's like a secret garden that has a lovely gazebo, beautiful flower gardens, and an arch that leads the way into the well manicured area. Today we decorated with red and white flowers for the ceremony and then incorporated purple into the reception. Right now lisianthus is blooming profusely. I couldn't believe how huge the bunches were - more than 3 times as large as we can normally get throughout the year, so we had lots to use in the centerpieces with Forever Young roses. Perfect timing for this wedding. The other things that I love about Columbia Station are the caboose that is used as the bride's lounge. The staff there has it loaded with snacks and drinks for the bridal party. And the high-tops in the huge cocktail area have glass tops on them. Brides are encouraged to put pictures underneath for all their guests to view. I think this is such a clever idea. This former train station is truly a unique venue for a wedding. I'm looking forward to working there again and again.
