Amy & Kevin - Columbia Station

Columbia Station has a charming area to hold a ceremony. It's like a secret garden that has a lovely gazebo, beautiful flower gardens, and an arch that leads the way into the well manicured area. Today we decorated with red and white flowers for the ceremony and then incorporated purple into the reception. Right now lisianthus is blooming profusely. I couldn't believe how huge the bunches were - more than 3 times as large as we can normally get throughout the year, so we had lots to use in the centerpieces with Forever Young roses. Perfect timing for this wedding. The other things that I love about Columbia Station are the caboose that is used as the bride's lounge. The staff there has it loaded with snacks and drinks for the bridal party. And the high-tops in the huge cocktail area have glass tops on them. Brides are encouraged to put pictures underneath for all their guests to view. I think this is such a clever idea. This former train station is truly a unique venue for a wedding. I'm looking forward to working there again and again.
