Diana & Bill - Men 'n Trees

This beautiful wedding combined two themes - Fall trees and Sports - along with Diana's colors of purple and orange. It was held in a tent on the grounds of the Pearl Buck House.
I know Diana's family from previously doing her sister's wedding and they are a blast to work with. They are so talented and helped to add so many personal touches to this terrific wedding. Diana's bouquet echoed her color scheme with two shades of purple calla lilies plus orange calla lilies. We glued tiny purple gems to the orange lilies to give them some sparkle. Di's sister Lee Anne loves ranunculus, so we did a bouquet of those for her plus brown hypericum berries. The other bridesmaids carried gorgeous purple and orange carnations also mixed with hypericum berries.

This may be difficult to see, but on either side of the path, leading up to the tent, were bases and bats with baseballs on top. Stenciled on the balls were letters that spelled Bill on one side and Diana on the other. It looked fantastic. The sports theme was carried out in cocktail tables and table numbers.


Bill is a sports fanatic. Cocktail tables held either an arrangement dedicated to the Phillies or the Eagles. Table numbers were those of his favorite players and on the back of each framed number Bill & Di printed out trivia about that player.



The placecard arrangement was made from a large tree branch. The top was hollowed out and I made an arrangement of fugi mums, purple hydrangea, gerber daisies, purple carnations, golden yarrow, purple oak leaves, branches, and cattails. Look closely and you'll see a heart carved out. Inside the heart is carved: Di & Bill. Too cute!!


We did three types of centerpieces also based on trees. Tall vases were filled with pine cones and acorns and filled with branches, orchids , eucalyptus, fugi mums, and gerber daisies.

Low arrangements were done in sections of tree branches that were hollowed out. We filled them with kangaroo paws, mums, spray roses, purple carnations, and safflower with a cover of angel vine.

Another low arrangement was made in a glass bowl filled with angel vine, acorns, and pine cones. Flowers included Asian lilies, asters, mums, lisianthus, and freesia. The head table, not pictured, was decorated with fall garland and three carved pumpkins courtesy of Diana's father. Each pumpkin sat on a "slice" of tree stump. One even had their carved monogram in it. It looked terrific!

60's Themed 60th Birthday Party

We had a lot of fun decorating these brightly colored squares for this party. We remembered old sayings and designed "far out" flowers for each side of each square and placed a "happy face" in the center of each container. When we sat them on the tables, we draped "love beads" and John Lennon sunglasses around each container.

This fun box of grass and gerbers sat on the bar.

Christine & Jason - Fabulous Fall Flowers

Christine and Jason had a fabulous Fall wedding at Pinecrest Country Club. She chose "Fall" as her theme and we included a wide range of the gorgeous flowers that you can find this time of year. Christine's bouquet was made up of Freedom and Confetti roses. Her bridesmaids, in brown gowns, carried smaller versions of Christine's bouquet.

We used a simple and very pretty brown and white color palette for church. We enhanced the curly willow by painting in brown and used sheer ribbon for pew bows.

Hydrangea and hypericum berries sat on orange marbles. Christine made the monogrammed tags that we attached to each cocktail table arrangement.



Centerpieces were filled with bright fall flowers including sunflowers, roses, kangaroo paws, ranunculus, freesia, red rovers, chrysanthemums and so much more. Branches were swirled inside low pieces and river rocks sat in the base of the taller arrangements.

Samantha & Joe - A Circus of Roses

We used hundreds and hundreds of Circus roses for Samantha and Joe's beautiful Fall wedding. The two-toned Circus roses are one of my very favorites - a bright yellow edged in a vivid orange. Samantha's bouquet was made up of Circus roses, mini Mango calla lilies, Harley mini gerber daisies, and mini sunflowers. We bound her stems with gold satin ribbon with an overlay of brown striping secured with yellow pins. The Matron of Honor carried a bouquet of mini sunflowers and greens with fall colored streamers. Bridesmaids carried a similar bouquet of Sunway and Mexx standard gerber daisies. Boutonnieres of a Mango mini calla, Goldy mini gerber daisies, and Viking mums matched the bouquets perfectly. What a wonderful combination of beautiful Fall colors.

Our placecard piece cylinder was filled with green, yellow, and red apples in keeping with the surrounding favors of candied apples.

Simple budvases of various two toned mini gerber daisies graced the cocktail tables at Normandy Farms.




Half of the tables had beautiful Circus roses in cylinders with orange and green banding around the center. The other half of the tables had taller cylinders of Circus roses banded in brown and gold ribbon. The insides of both cylinders were lined with aspidistra leaves. Smaller versions of these vases alternating with candles graced the sweetheart table.

The beautiful mocha colored cake was finished at the bottom with lots and lots of Orange Unique and Malibu roses. I love the look of a chocolate cake in the Fall.

Irene & Paul - Gorgeous Purple, Lavender & White

Irene chose a beautiful color combination for her bouquet of Cool Water roses with purple pins inside, purple double lisianthus, and Picasso calla lilies. Look closely and you can see their purple throats inside the white petal. They are so pretty.

What a beautiful day for a rooftop ceremony at Independence Visitor's Center. We used lots of the Moon family of carnations to create the topiaries for this wedding. Pomanders in three shades of carnations hung along the aisle adding to the beautiful set-up here.

I love this cake with the monogram on it. We placed dendrobium and phaelanopsis orchids on it to add color.
Irene chose purple, lavender, and white as her wedding colors. Centerpieces were massed flowers of one of those colors in square glass or rectangles of orchid blooms and spraying grass surrounding a frosted rectangle vase holding a candle. They look so pretty when they are back lit.

Amber & Steve - Bright lights

Amber and Steve wanted to have a really fun party for their reception. And Occasions in New Hope was the perfect place. They wanted lots of different touches and I think they achieved it with their color pallete and lots of lights in unexpected places. Amber's hot colored bouquet was the brightest star. In the center of her roses and orchids. was a bright green dragonfly resting on the petals. Boutonnieres were crafter out of colored aluminum wire coated with brightly colored textured wire and beading.

Bridesmaids' bouquets were bright shades of roses, stock and hypericum berries with lots of hot pink looped ribbon.

Due to inclement weather, the ceremony was moved inside. So instead of using the lanterns in trees, we lined the aisle with them. And the brightly colored gerbers and ribbon added a fun touch to the chairs. The flowers were done in bright orange, green, and hot pink with added touches of bright curling ribbon and ting ting. Amber also had a custom made aisle runner with their names on it which was adorable.

Another special touch were the chair bows we had made in bright orange and hot pink just for the bride and groom. The orange material was covered in a fun glittery pattern.

Martini glasses of rose petals and swizzle sticks of green cushion mums stood on each cocktail table. Of course there was a light in the base of each glass. And the placecard piece was a huge martini glass with an umbrella hand-painted by the groom. He did a great job even if you can't see it. Placecards were cocktail umbrellas and looked so cute.

Centerpieces were either "lamps" or squares of roses. The lamps lit from the top and bottom with beading and calla lilies in the water filled base. Bright orange roses stood like soldiers and were lit from underwater.
